Synopsis

Will Byers disappeared on his way home from a friend's house. Sheriff Hopper expects a quick answer. Will's mother Joyce is convinced her son is alive and trying to reach her — through flickering light bulbs, through the static hiss on the phone. His three friends go looking on their own and find a girl in the forest: shaved head, no name, the number 011 tattooed on her wrist. She barely speaks, but she moves furniture without touching it. There's a government laboratory just outside town that has been running experiments nobody was supposed to find out about.
