Synopsis
Cyborg She (2008) is a sci-fi romance laced with comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The director is Korea's Kwak Jae-yong, the man behind My Sassy Girl. Lonely college student Jiro spends his birthday eating alone — until a woman in a tight grey suit walks in, stunning and utterly expressionless.
She pulls him out of danger again and again, then reveals what she is: a machine sent back in time by Jiro himself, sixty years older and trying to spare his younger self. The robot learns to feel as she goes. Haruka Ayase plays her with almost no dialogue, bending metal and stopping bullets while Jiro falls for a girl wired with circuits. That's only the setup; the film soon shifts its whole register.
This Japan–Korea production swings from breezy slapstick to a quietly devastating ending about time you cannot rewind. Strange, tender, and harder-hitting than it looks — built for anyone who likes their science fiction with a beating heart. Stream Cyborg She (2008) online on iFILM.
