The Sunchaser

Brandon Monroe lives for sharp suits and a flawless schedule (Woody Harrelson). That comfortable world collapses when Blue, a young half-Navajo convict dying of cancer, forces the doctor to drive him toward a sacred mountain lake said to heal anything. Jon Seda plays Blue. The road carries them through deserts and reservations across the American West, and the further they go, the harder it gets to tell who is the captive and who is the guide.

This was the final film Cimino ever directed, the man behind The Deer Hunter and Heaven's Gate, and it screened in competition at Cannes. Anne Bancroft turns up in a small role.
