Savior

After losing his family in a Paris bombing, American Joshua Rose enlists in the French Foreign Legion and heads to Bosnia. He's good at killing. He stops asking why. The pivot comes when he's ordered to escort a young Serbian woman who survived a detention camp and is about to give birth — unwanted by everyone around her. The child arrives in the middle of the chaos, and Rose, without planning it, becomes the only protection either of them has.

Director Antonijević refuses to assign guilt to one side — atrocities happen across the front lines and the camera doesn't flinch from either. That moral evenhandedness is rare in war films and it's what gives Savior its weight. Quaid plays it without sentimentality: a man drained of everything who finds one thing still worth doing.
