Synopsis

Apollo Kagwa, a New York rare-book dealer, falls for a librarian named Emma and they have a son — and then the idyll cracks. Emma starts treating the baby as a stranger, then vanishes after doing something unthinkable. The search drags Apollo through a city he never knew was there: beneath ordinary New York lie witches, hidden islands and creatures pulled from old folklore. Across eight episodes in its single season, the show braids family drama, mystery and dark fairy tale.
