Synopsis
Rosewood Lane (2011) is a Victor Salva thriller you can watch online — part horror, part slow-burn paranoia. After her alcoholic father dies, radio therapist Sonny Blake moves back into her childhood home on a quiet suburban street.
Sonny makes her living talking frightened callers down on the air, so she prides herself on staying rational. But every neighbor on the block is terrified of the local paperboy, and she writes it off as small-town nonsense — until she meets the kid herself. He's polite, weirdly well-read, fond of reciting creepy nursery rhymes, and very possibly a cold-blooded sociopath who may have had a hand in her father's death. Rose McGowan anchors the whole thing, with Ray Wise and Lin Shaye turning up in support.
Salva wraps the tension around one simple fear: what if the danger is the harmless-looking face at your door. It's a small, uneven, but grippy little thriller for anyone who likes stories about tidy neighborhoods with something rotten underneath. Stream Rosewood Lane (2011) online on iFILM.
