Blood

Blood (2023) is a horror-thriller directed by Brad Anderson, available to watch online on iFILM. Michelle Monaghan plays Jess, a recently divorced nurse who moves her two kids into her old family farmhouse and quickly learns the woods behind it are not empty.

One night the family dog runs off into the trees. It comes back changed, attacks eight-year-old Owen, and bites deep. The boy survives, but his recovery defies every explanation the hospital can offer — until Jess finds what actually works. From that point the film turns into something quieter and more disturbing than a standard creature feature: a portrait of a parent crossing lines she would never have drawn, one small compromise at a time. Skeet Ulrich plays the estranged father; Finlay Wojtak-Hissong carries much of the film as Owen.

Anderson's direction keeps the dread low and steady — no jump-cut cacophony, just a mother making decisions that each make perfect sense in the moment and add up to something she can't undo. Stream Blood (2023) online on iFILM.
