Solos (Season 1)

Solos (2021) is an Amazon Prime Video anthology series you can watch online on iFILM. Seven stand-alone episodes, seven actors — Anne Hathaway, Anthony Mackie, Helen Mirren, Uzo Aduba, Constance Wu, Morgan Freeman and Jack Quaid — each carrying almost the entire runtime of their episode alone on screen. Directors include Zach Braff and Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The stories are set at different points in time, from the past to the far future, but each centres on a moment of deep isolation: a character confronting a version of herself, a man stuck in a temporal loop, an older person settling a decades-long account. The episodes share no plot connections — only the premise that solitude strips people down to something essential and, often, something they had been avoiding.
