Synopsis
Paradise (1982) is an adventure romance you can watch online on iFILM. When raiders ambush a desert caravan, two teenagers are left alone with the sand, the heat, and feelings neither of them expected.
The year is 1823, on the road from Baghdad to Damascus. After the massacre, only English girl Sarah and American boy David survive — and a cruel slave trader called the Jackal trails them, set on taking Sarah for himself. Fleeing across the dunes, the pair stumble onto a hidden oasis: shade, fresh water, a place to catch their breath. There they learn to forage, to stay out of sight, and to see each other as more than fellow runaways, as a childhood friendship turns into something grown-up.
Directed by Stuart Gillard, the film stars Willie Aames opposite a very young Phoebe Cates in one of her earliest roles. It's often pegged as the Canadian answer to The Blue Lagoon — the same castaway setup, the same coming-of-age pull. A retro pick for anyone curious about the earnest, sun-bleached romanticism of early-'80s adventure cinema. Stream Paradise (1982) online on iFILM.
