Synopsis
Miracle: Letters to the President (기적, 2021) is a Korean drama you can watch online about a boy and one stubborn dream. It's the late 1980s in a remote mountain village. To get to school, Jun-kyung walks the railroad tracks every single day, because no road reaches his home and every passing train is a gamble with his life.
So he sets out to do the impossible: get a station built for his town. He writes a letter to the President. Then another. Then dozens more, none of them answered. Helping him is Ra-hee, a sharp classmate who's fallen for him far harder than he notices, while at home wait a gruff train-driver father and the sister this whole quest is really for. Park Jung-min leads, alongside Im Yoon-ah and Lee Sung-min, under director Lee Jang-hoon.
The film is built from small things: chalk equations, a sky full of stars, a quiet talk on an empty platform. Instead of big twists it offers patient warmth, and the turn it saves for the end hits harder for how softly the story moved. A safe bet for fans of Korean family cinema that earns its tears.
