Synopsis
Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls (2015) is a teen horror-comedy from the world of R.L. Stine you can watch online on iFILM. A travelling house of horrors rolls into a quiet town, and the local kids flock to it for a Halloween scare.
The attraction's owner, though, is a self-styled showman with a dark gift. His show is bait, and his prized cabinet of souls is built to steal lives. High-schooler Beau and his friends have to see through the act and rescue the ones already under its spell. Dove Cameron and Katherine McNamara take the lead roles, both before their bigger fame.
Director Peter DeLuise keeps it light and seasonal, very much in the Goosebumps mould: mild scares, plenty of jokes, no real blood. It's aimed at teens and families who want a dose of Halloween creepiness without genuine fright. Stream Monsterville (2015) online on iFILM.
