The Cottage

The Cottage (2008) is a British horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Two bumbling brothers kidnap the daughter of a crime boss and haul her to a remote farmhouse in the English countryside. Nothing about the plan works. The hostage is more dangerous than either of them, the mob already knows where they are, and the farmer next door turns out to be something far worse.

Director Paul Andrew Williams opens the film as a knockabout crime comedy and then shifts gears into slasher territory — hard and without much warning. Andy Serkis and Reece Shearsmith make a genuinely funny pairing, and Doug Bradley rounds out the horror credentials. It's cheap, cheerful, and completely aware of what it is.
