Synopsis

Pierre has raised his two boys alone while working on the railways. The younger one, Louis, wins a place at the Sorbonne and heads for Paris. Fus, the older brother, stays behind and slowly drifts somewhere darker. He's drawn to violence, to anger, to a crowd chanting far-right slogans. Pierre keeps reaching for the son he knew and keeps grabbing a stranger instead. Love still holds the two men together, but fear is seeping into it.
Benjamin Voisin plays Fus right on the edge, never as a cartoon villain — which is exactly what makes the film so unsettling. This is a story about a parent's helplessness as ideology quietly steals someone he loves from his own home. Lindon took home the Best Actor prize at the Venice Film Festival for the role.
