Synopsis
Santa Evita (2022) is an Argentine historical drama you can watch online on iFILM. The series opens where most biopics end — with the body of Argentina's first lady, which found no rest after her early death.
The grand mausoleum promised to Eva Perón was never finished. When the military took the country by force, they hid her embalmed corpse away, terrified that a dead woman could rally the nation against them. What follows plays almost like a thriller: a body that has become a national relic is moved in secret from one hiding place to another, and everyone who touches the secret pays for it. Natalia Oreiro plays Eva herself in flashbacks tracing her climb from the provinces to power.
