Synopsis

Loving Annabelle (2007) is an American drama written and directed by Katherine Brooks, available to watch online on iFILM. Annabelle — a senator's daughter with two expulsions already behind her — arrives at an exclusive Catholic boarding school with no interest in keeping her head down. She is bright, direct, and entirely aware of the effect she has on people.

Simone Bradley, the head of her dormitory and English teacher, is assigned to manage her. It does not go according to plan. Erin Kelly plays Annabelle with the confidence of someone who decides exactly how close to let a person get. Diane Gaidry's Simone is the opposite — composed on the surface, pulled in a direction she cannot name. Director Brooks keeps the tension in restraint: a held glance, a door left slightly open, a conversation that stops just short of what both of them are thinking.

The film became a touchstone in LGBTQ+ cinema after its release, admired for refusing easy moral categories. Neither character is framed as predator or innocent. Both make choices; both face what follows. That refusal to simplify is what makes this a better film than most in the genre. Stream Loving Annabelle (2007) online on iFILM.
