The Psychic

The Psychic (Sette note in nero, 1977) is an Italian giallo thriller directed by Lucio Fulci — watch it online on iFILM. Jennifer O'Neill plays Virginia, a woman whose psychic visions have shadowed her entire life. One day she sees a murder playing out inside the walls of an old house — and she is certain the scene already happened.

The police dig. Nothing turns up. Her psychiatrist starts to believe her, then both realise the vision isn't a memory at all: it points forward in time. The woman whose death Virginia saw may well be Virginia herself. Fulci builds the tension through misdirection rather than gore, leaning closer to Hitchcock than to the splatter films that made his name.
