Stranger (비밀의 숲, 2017) is a South Korean crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Prosecutor Hwang Shi-mok had brain surgery as a child to calm a violent streak — the operation worked, but it took his emotions with it. He feels nothing. That also makes him the only incorruptible man in a deeply corrupt system.

After stumbling on a stabbing victim, Hwang teams up with police lieutenant Han Yeo-jin, played by Bae Doona. They couldn't be more different: she runs on empathy, he runs on logic. What starts as a single murder investigation pulls them into the rot at the top of the prosecutor's office itself. Cho Seung-woo leads with a performance that's almost unsettling in its stillness. Two seasons, both completed.

Co-directed by Ahn Gil-ho and Park Hyun-seok, Stranger is one of those rare Korean procedurals that trusts structure over sentiment.
