The Forgiven

The Forgiven (2022) is a moral drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by John Michael McDonagh and starring Rafe Fiennes and Jessica Chastain. It's adapted from Lawrence Osborne's novel of the same name.

David and Jo Henninger, affluent Londoners, hit and kill a local teenage boy while driving through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco to a weekend party at a friend's sprawling villa. The incident gets buried with a quiet arrangement involving local police, and the couple arrives at the party. Then the boy's father shows up with one request: David — the one who was driving — must accompany him into the desert to bury his son according to custom. Jo stays behind among the guests, and the party barely skips a beat.
