Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war.
Synopsis
Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie (2010) is a British animated sci-fi film set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe you can watch online on iFILM. A squad of Space Marines answers a distress signal from a sacred Shrine World — only to find silence where a whole Company of Imperial Fists should be.
It is the 41st millennium. Humanity is hemmed in by enemies on every side, and the only law left is war. Led by a battle-scarred captain, a group of young Ultramarines lands on Mithron to learn what happened to the garrison and whether the relic it guarded still stands. The deeper they push into the empty shrine, the less certain anything becomes — about the survivors, and about themselves.
This was the first feature-length animation drawn from the Games Workshop tabletop game, scripted by Dan Abnett, one of the defining authors of the 40K novels. Terence Stamp and John Hurt lend their voices. The blocky CGI is an acquired taste, but for lore fans it is a rare chance to see the Chapter in motion.
