Paulette

Paulette (2012) is a French crime comedy directed by Jérôme Enrico, available to watch online on iFILM. Bernadette Lafont plays the title character — a broke, sharp-tongued pensioner living in a Paris housing project who cannot stand her neighbors, her son-in-law, or anyone else in her orbit.

When debt collectors start taking her furniture, Paulette comes up with a solution nobody saw coming: she walks up to the local drug dealer and asks for a job. They laugh. She talks them into it anyway. Within weeks she has turned herself into the most productive dealer in the building. The operation gets complicated fast — her police officer son-in-law keeps nosing around, her friends want in, and the actual criminals are not thrilled about the competition.
