Cube (2021) is a Japanese sci-fi thriller from director Yasuhiko Shimizu that you can watch online on iFILM. Six strangers come round inside identical cube-shaped rooms with no memory of how they arrived, and not one wall offers an obvious way out.

Behind every panel waits another cube, and plenty of them are rigged with lethal traps. Survival means these mismatched captives — a sullen laborer played by Masaki Suda, a teenager, an engineer and an older man — must read the maze's logic together while choking down their own panic. It's a remake of Vincenzo Natali's 1997 Canadian cult film, but the Japanese take shifts the focus off the mathematical riddle and onto something else: how fear and suspicion shred the fragile bonds between people.
