The Chalk Line

Where did she come from, who drew that chalk cage around her, and what is she hiding from? The search drags Paula down grim roads, where the girl's real past proves far worse than any imagined monster.

Ignacio Tatay's feature debut builds its dread slowly and precisely, with no cheap jump scares. Elena Anaya, as Paula, nearly carries the whole film on her own, and she's convincing in every scene.
