Synopsis
After the Rain (2018) is a Japanese drama you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Jun Mayuzuki's manga. Nana Komatsu plays Akira Tachibana, a 17-year-old who gave up competitive sprinting after a knee injury and now works part-time at a family restaurant. She falls for her manager — Masami Kondo, a 45-year-old divorcé played by Yo Oizumi.
The age gap is wide enough to make both characters genuinely uneasy. Kondo doesn't believe the feelings are serious; Akira is too stubborn to let go. Beneath the romance runs a quieter question that belongs to both of them: can you find your way back to something you walked away from?
