Synopsis

The old ruler's heirs refuse to accept an outsider on the throne. To claw back power, they raise Akivasha, a witch queen who slept for three thousand years. Trouble is, the resurrected sorceress wants the kingdom for herself, and only Kull's blade stands between her and the living world. Tia Carrere brings menace to the witch; Karina Lombard plays Zareta, the seer at Kull's side.
The character came from Robert E. Howard, the writer who later dreamed up Conan, so the pulp pedigree runs deep. The movie itself is honest, cheerful B-grade fantasy with steel, spells and a fair dose of camp — a fun pick for anyone craving unpretentious '90s heroic fantasy.
