Synopsis
The Beach House (2020) is an American eco-horror from director Jeffrey A. Brown, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Emily and Randall, college sweethearts whose relationship is wobbling, drive out to his family's coastal house for a quiet reset. Waiting inside are Mitch and Jane, an older couple who once knew Randall's father.
The first night is calm enough: wine on the porch, walks along an empty shore, the hush of the off-season. Then a strange haze settles over the water, something glows in the sand, and bodies start behaving in ways bodies shouldn't. Slowly it lands — the coastline is in the grip of an infection with no face and no motive. Liana Liberato carries nearly the whole picture, turning a seaside break into a drawn-out fight to stay human.
Brown's debut skips cheap jolts in favor of creeping body horror and the dread of a natural world that has simply stopped being kind.
