Synopsis
The Kangaroo Conspiracy (Die Känguru-Verschwörung, 2022) is a German comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Maria's mother, Lisbeth, has fallen down an internet rabbit hole and now denies the climate crisis online.
The two strike a bet: if they can't talk her back to her senses, they lose their apartment. That sends Marc-Uwe (Dimitrij Schaad) and the marsupial off to a conspiracy convention in Bielefeld, where they stumble into an actual plot run by self-styled guru Adam Krieger. This is the sequel to The Kangaroo Chronicles, adapted from Marc-Uwe Kling's bestsellers — he also directs and voices the cheeky animal himself. The humor is his trademark blend: pure absurdity laced with sharp satire of conspiracy culture and social media, best for fans of dry German wit.
