Babysitter Wanted

Babysitter Wanted (2007) is a horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. College student Angie Albright needs cash and answers an ad to mind a little boy at a remote farmhouse. "No experience necessary," the listing said. It left out the part about a scarred figure circling the windows after dark.

First the phone calls. Then the shape in the yard. Sarah Thompson plays Angie, with Bill Moseley and Nana Visitor along for the ride. The movie sets up like a standard babysitter-in-the-sticks slasher, then takes a hard turn somewhere in the middle that you won't see coming — and that swerve is the whole point. Directed by Jonas Barnes and Michael Manasseri, it trades budget for a nasty twist, and that makes it worth a look for low-budget horror fans who like being misled.
