Jessica Palud's first feature runs a lean 77 minutes yet packs in years of buried resentment. The father barely speaks, the mother keeps her distance, and the farm is now home to Mona — the brother's widow, raising a small boy Thomas has never met. Something stirs between him and Mona that probably shouldn't. Adèle Exarchopoulos plays it quiet and exact, never reaching for melodrama, and the film lives in those silences.
