Synopsis

A Bangkok private investigator arrives in Malaysia with one lead: an old photograph and a name, Chai. Thirty years ago, someone killed his parents, and Chai is the only thread he has. He finds a local detective whose inquiry runs parallel to his own, and the two reluctantly join forces to track down Chai's daughter, who may be the last person alive who knows what happened. Oxide Pang keeps the intrigue in the paperwork and the silences rather than the action beats, and the dual-investigation structure pays off cleanly in the final act.
