Synopsis

Major Timofeeva opens a case. Retired Major Cherkasov — Andrei Smolyakov — won't stay on the sideline, so he joins the investigation alongside Marina Alexandrova and Andrei Merzlikin. The trail leads from a local savings bank to the Research Institute of Mathematics and Cybernetics, where a team of scientists has been running numbers on something that has nothing to do with academic research.
