November 1943: Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill arrive in Tehran for their first joint summit. A Nazi officer has drawn up a plan to kill all three at once. Soviet agent Andrei Borodin must identify the German assassin before the operation is launched. The film runs two timelines in parallel — 1943 Tehran and 1980 Paris — as survivors of the original conspiracy find themselves pulled back into it decades later.

A French-Soviet co-production shot in multiple languages, this was among the most expensive Soviet films made up to that point.
