Sisters

Sisters (2022, dir. Ivan Petukhov) is a Russian horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Irina Starshenbaum plays Anya, a young mother who has run out of ways to protect herself and her child from her husband's violence — Nikita Efremov plays the husband with unsettling restraint.

In desperation Anya learns of a shadowy sisterhood that answers to women in exactly her position. A ritual of blood and fire, and the voices from the other side respond. What follows is less about jump scares and more about the cost of that kind of rescue — whether Anya can live with what she's unleashed. Nadezhda Markina and Anna Chipovskaya round out the cast.
