Synopsis
Founders Day (2024) is a slasher thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Erik Bloomquist — a film that stages its killings around a small-town mayoral race and gets a lot of mileage out of the combination.
When the challenger's daughter disappears and bodies start turning up near the bridge, the sitting mayor refuses to cancel the town's 300th-anniversary celebration. The killer dresses as a judge. Bloomquist runs the election mudslinging and the actual bloodshed in parallel, and the joke — delivered with a straight face — is that one storyline is barely more civilised than the other.
