Synopsis
All Wrong Girl (2024) is a Russian tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM, and it turns teenage cruelty into a punchline. Graduation looms, and nothing in Ksyusha Subbotina's life cooperates: the songs for her band stay unwritten, her parents can't finalize their divorce, and the boy she likes never once glances her way.
Everyone calls her fat, so Ksyusha decides to hit first. She launches a blog as the Fat Girl, a self-crowned queen of cringe who roasts herself before anyone else can — and roasts the whole world along the way. The fame arrives fast. It's funny at first, then funnier, and then it stops being funny at all.
Director Sasha Karmaeva skips the glossy high-school formula for something sharper: a look at how self-mockery can both shield you and cut you. Rimma Latysheva leads, with Evgenia Dobrovolskaya and Mikita Voronov alongside her. Mean, tender and very online, it lands hardest for anyone sick of sanitized coming-of-age stories.
