Synopsis

Andy Lau plays a radiation expert pulled onto an emergency crisis team headed by the acting chief executive. There is no way to evacuate a whole metropolis, the clock is measured in hours, and every call the team makes trades one set of lives for another.
Directed by Anthony Pun, this is billed as Hong Kong cinema's first big radiation-disaster blockbuster, sitting somewhere between catastrophe spectacle and political thriller.
