Synopsis
Pepper Chocolate (Chocolate com Pimenta, 2003) is a Brazilian telenovela from Globo that you can watch online on iFILM. Set in a small town in the early 1900s, it follows Ana Francisca, a greengrocer's granddaughter who falls for wealthy heir Danilo.
What starts as a bet to win the young man over turns into real love — and a pregnancy. Suddenly she has money, polish and a long list of people who once looked down on her. Mariana Ximenes leads as Ana, with Murilo Benício as Danilo and Priscila Fantin as her rival Olga.
Writer Walcyr Carrasco reshaped the Cinderella story into a tale of reinvention and payback, seasoned with the warm comic streak the title hints at.
