Soon the fights stop being about a title belt and start being about the people he can't afford to lose. The show leans on brutal ring choreography and a noir mood — Korean cinema does this kind of bleak, sentiment-free thriller as well as anyone — with the sport working as a frame for a story about a past that won't let go.
