Synopsis
Wicked Little Letters (2024) is a comedy mystery you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Thea Sharrock. In a sleepy English seaside town, a wave of anonymous letters stuffed with foul language turns neighbour against neighbour.
Pious, buttoned-up Edith Swan is among the first to open a poison-pen note packed with filthy insults. Blame lands instantly on her loud Irish neighbour, Rose Gooding, who swears like a sailor and answers back to everyone. Rose is arrested and a noisy trial begins. But local woman police officer Gladys Moss smells a rat and starts digging on her own. The deeper she looks, the clearer it gets that the real letter-writer is hiding in plain sight.
Olivia Colman plays Edith, Jessie Buckley plays Rose, with Anjana Vasan and Timothy Spall alongside them. The plot grew out of a genuine 1920s scandal in Littlehampton that ended up in a real courtroom. Watch Wicked Little Letters (2024) online on iFILM.
