Synopsis
Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) is a John McTiernan action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, with Bruce Willis back as New York cop John McClane.
The day opens with a department store blown apart in midtown Manhattan. Then a man calling himself Simon phones in and asks for McClane by name. Suspended, hungover and barely standing, the detective has no say in it: Simon has seeded bombs across the city and sends the cop sprinting from one riddle to the next, with each wrong move setting off another blast. A Harlem electrician named Zeus Carver, played by Samuel L. Jackson, gets dragged in as an unwilling partner. Together they figure out that the terror campaign is a smokescreen for an audacious gold heist.
Jeremy Irons plays the mastermind as the brother of Hans Gruber from the first film, which makes the grudge personal. McTiernan, who shot the 1988 original, returned to direct and traded a single skyscraper for the whole of Manhattan. The picture topped the worldwide box office in 1995.
