A small boy, suit black, face whitened, lives in a house where his parents are cruel and indifferent. He discovers a bag of seeds, plants them in a mattress upstairs, and what grows out is a grandmother. Lynch builds the world from hand-drawn animation sequences, distorted sound design, and a color palette that alternates between washed-out grey and saturated warmth — every atmospheric tool that would define his features, compressed into half an hour.
