About

Synopsis

Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019) is an Australian war film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Kriv Stenders reconstructed the real engagement of 18 August 1966, when roughly a hundred soldiers of Delta Company held their ground against a force many times their size in a rubber plantation in Vietnam's Long Tan province.

Travis Fimmel and Luke Bracey lead the cast as officers commanding young recruits — most of them never in combat before. Eleven hours of close-range fighting in torrential rain, with ammunition running low and reinforcements nowhere near. The film does not reach for the flag. It stays with the mud, the fear, and the cost.

Built from veterans' accounts and declassified records, this is the kind of war film that treats its real subject with care instead of spectacle. Stream Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019) on iFILM.
