Synopsis

All for the Winner (1990) is a Hong Kong action-comedy you can watch online — the breakout hit that turned Stephen Chow into a household name across Asia.

Sing is a slow-witted but sweet-natured mainlander who shows up in Hong Kong to stay with his Uncle Tat. Trouble is, the kid can see straight through solid objects. Tat spots the angle instantly and unleashes him on the gambling dens as "The Saint of Gamblers," cleaning out every card sharp in town. Then a girl walks in, Sing falls hard, and his powers start misfiring at the worst possible moments. Chow plays the wide-eyed fool dead straight while Ng Man-tat hams it up beside him.

Directed by Jeff Lau and Corey Yuen, the film began as a spoof of the Chow Yun-fat classic God of Gamblers and ended up outgrossing it, kicking off a whole run of Hong Kong gambling comedies. It's pure mo lei tau nonsense — daft, fast and best taken on its own terms. Stream All for the Winner (1990) online on iFILM.
