Synopsis

Rectify (2013) is an American drama series from Sundance TV created by Ray McKinnon — watch online all seasons on iFILM, with Aden Young, Abigail Spencer, and Adelaide Clemens heading the cast.

Daniel Holden spent nineteen years on Death Row in Georgia for the rape and murder of his teenage girlfriend. New DNA testing casts serious doubt on the conviction, and he walks free. Legally, the question mark hangs in the air; socially, the small town has already made up its mind. His sister Amandi (Spencer) fights for him without reservation. His mother and stepfather try their best. And the people who need the original verdict to stand are not done with him yet. In the meantime, Daniel has to relearn the basics: how to be in a room with other people, how to make a decision, how to exist.

Four seasons, all of them completed and available. McKinnon builds the show on interiority rather than plot mechanics — it is less interested in whether Daniel is guilty than in what decades of isolation do to a person. Quiet and precise in a way that most crime dramas aren't. Stream all episodes of Rectify online on iFILM.
