Synopsis
Selfie (2014), Season 1 is an American comedy you can watch online on iFILM — thirteen episodes in which Instagram darling Eliza Dooley realizes, after an ugly viral video, that hundreds of thousands of followers are not the same as friends.
She turns to a co-worker, marketing guru Henry, and asks him to rebrand her for the real world instead of the feed. What follows is Pygmalion with smartphones: he coaches her to talk to people without filters, and she chips away at his buttoned-up perfectionism. Across the season the lessons quietly swap directions. An awkward attraction grows between mentor and pupil — Eliza confesses first, Henry backs off, and a long-lost sister shows up on the doorstep to stir things further.
It's a breezy office romcom loosely riffing on My Fair Lady, and Karen Gillan and John Cho carry every bit of the chemistry. The show was cancelled after one season, yet it stayed warm and charming. A nice pick if you like dialogue-driven sitcoms with a slow-burning romance. Stream Selfie Season 1 online on iFILM.
