Synopsis

David Aames has wealth, a publishing empire, and a face that opens every door in Manhattan. Then a single car ride with an unstable ex, Julie (Cameron Diaz), leaves him disfigured and wearing a prosthetic mask. He wakes up in a police cell being questioned by detective McCabe (Kurt Russell) about a murder — possibly his own. The woman he fell for the night before the crash, Sofia (Penélope Cruz), keeps appearing and disappearing in ways that don't add up. A specialist called Rebecca Dearborn (Tilda Swinton) offers an explanation. Whether to believe her is another matter entirely.
The film earned $203 million worldwide and earned a devoted following for its layered, non-linear structure.
