Season 1
302 vanished. 3 must find them.
Synopsis
Alcatraz (2012), Season 1 is a sci-fi mystery procedural in thirteen episodes you can watch online on iFILM. America's most famous prison shut down in 1963 — officially. What really happened: 302 inmates and guards vanished from the island without a trace.
Fifty years on, they start coming back. Not a day older. One at a time, week by week, each carrying his own history and his own way of killing. Detective Rebecca Madsen catches the first returnee and gets pulled into a black-budget operation run by the secretive agent Hauser. The third seat belongs to Diego Soto, a writer obsessed with the prison who knows every inmate's file by heart. Episode after episode they chase another fugitive out of the past, while a bigger question hardens underneath: who hid these people in time, and why.
This J.J. Abrams project for Fox lasted a single season, and the finale stops mid-thought — worth knowing going in. Still, the case-of-the-week-plus-grand-mystery engine moves fast, and Jorge Garcia carries the mythology again after Lost. One for fans of grim procedurals with a hidden floor beneath them.
