Synopsis

Natasha Binder (Yancy Butler) arrives in the city looking for her missing father, a Vietnam veteran who vanished somewhere in the streets. Chance agrees to help. The trail leads straight to Emil Fouchon (Lance Henriksen) and his business partner Pik van Cleef (Arnold Vosloo), who run a private hunting operation: wealthy clients pay to track homeless men through the bayous like game. Chance is an inconvenient witness. Then he becomes the next target.
Shot on an $18 million budget, the film grossed over $74 million worldwide. Woo brought his signature slow-motion gunplay, paired pistols, and airborne doves to a mainstream Hollywood set — though Universal re-cut the film heavily without his approval, turning the production into one of cinema's better-known director-studio standoffs.
