Twelve-year-old TJ, the President's son, is desperate to befriend the four-legged guard — and he pulls it off. When the Russian President arrives on a state visit with his daughter Alex, the two kids hit it off and promptly land in trouble, and it falls to Max to bail them out. Director Brian Levant, a veteran of Beethoven and The Flintstones, keeps things simple and gentle: chases, a loyal dog and zero real menace.
