Synopsis
Revival (2025) is a Canadian-American supernatural crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, based on Tim Seeley's comic book series. Melanie Scrofano — best known as Wynonna Earp — leads as Dana Cypress, a small-town Wisconsin officer and single mother.
One morning in rural Wisconsin, the recently dead simply stand up. They're coherent, unchanged, recognisable — whatever happened, it was not a zombie outbreak. The town fractures: some welcome the revived as returned family; others shut their doors. Dana is assigned to keep order while investigating a violent murder that could have been committed by anyone — living or not — and the case reaches into her own household before long.
The series keeps both threads moving without forcing an explanation on the supernatural side, which turns out to be the right instinct. David James Elliott and Stephen Ogg anchor the supporting cast, and Scrofano plays Dana with a kind of contained exhaustion that reads as real rather than performed. The mystery holds.
