Synopsis

Mars (2016), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM. Six episodes of National Geographic docudrama tracing humanity's first crewed mission to the red planet, where a colony is born at the absolute edge of what people can endure.

The year is 2033. The Daedalus hits the Martian atmosphere with ninety seconds to landing and a six-person crew that has to do more than survive — they have to plant the first self-sustaining settlement. Across the season they fight brutal terrain to reach base camp, hunt for shelter against radiation, and welcome a second wave of arrivals four years on. Then isolation starts to crack them from the inside. By the finale a tragedy in the colony makes both Mars and Earth ask whether the mission was ever worth it.

Here's the hook: scripted future scenes alternate with real interviews — SpaceX, NASA, Roscosmos engineers explaining the tech that makes it plausible. Best for hard sci-fi fans. Stream Mars Season 1 online on iFILM.
